Privacy policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This is an English translation of the Spanish privacy policy. If the two versions differ, the Spanish version prevails.
This policy explains what personal data we process, why, how long we keep it and what rights you have, under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).
Who processes your data
The data controller is PISTALENS, SOCIEDAD LIMITADA, Tax ID (NIF) B13569397.
- Address: C/ Pitágoras 22, 13270 Almagro (Ciudad Real), Spain
- Phone: +34 682 853 510
- Email, also for data protection: info@pistalens.com
Our registered office and registration details are in the legal notice. We have not appointed a data protection officer.
This website does not collect data
The website has no forms, sets no cookies and does not load analytics or advertising tools. Nor does it load third-party content, with one exception: the Google Maps map on the contact page, which only loads if you ask for it by clicking “Load Google Maps map”. To talk to us, you call or email us.
What data we process
- Data you give us when you call or email us: usually your name, company, phone number, email address and what your enquiry is about. We do not need sensitive data; please do not send it to us.
- Technical connection data: like any web host, the provider that serves the pages receives your IP address and technical data about each visit (browser, page requested, date and time) and logs it to serve and protect the website. We do not use this data to identify you or to build profiles.
Why we use your data and on what legal basis
- Handling your enquiry and preparing a quote. Basis: steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in keeping in touch with businesses and professionals (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Serving the website and keeping it secure. Basis: legitimate interest in a website that works and is protected (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Complying with legal obligations, such as tax and commercial law, or responding to requests from authorities. Basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
We do not send you marketing communications or make automated decisions about you.
How long we keep your data
- Enquiries that do not lead to a business relationship: 12 months from the last contact.
- Customers and suppliers: for as long as the relationship lasts and, afterwards, for the periods required by law.
- Technical connection data: for as long as the hosting provider needs it to serve and protect the website, under its own terms.
After these periods, we delete the data, unless the law requires us to keep it blocked.
Who else has access to your data
We do not share your data with third parties, unless required by law.
Two providers process it on our behalf, as data processors:
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States), which hosts the website and processes technical connection data.
- Google Ireland Limited (Ireland), which provides the pistalens.com email service, where we receive and store your messages.
If you load the Google Maps map, your browser sends data directly to Google LLC, which processes it under its own policy. See “Google Maps” below.
International transfers
Cloudflare is based in the United States, and Google may process data outside the European Economic Area through companies in its group. If you load the Google Maps map, your data goes to Google LLC, which is also in the United States. According to the information these providers publish, these transfers rely on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest.
Write to info@pistalens.com with the subject “Data protection”, or by post to the address above, and tell us which right you want to exercise. If we have reasonable doubts about your identity, we will ask for what is needed to confirm it. It is free of charge and we will reply within one month, unless the law allows an extension.
Complaints to the AEPD
If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, aepd.es).
Children
This website is aimed at businesses, professionals and adults. We do not knowingly process data from children under 14.
Google Maps
On the contact page, the map you see when the page opens is an image stored on this website, made with OpenStreetMap data. It does not connect you to any third party.
If you click “Load Google Maps map”, the page embeds Google’s map. At that point your browser connects to Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, California, United States). Google may set cookies on your browser and process your IP address and data about your browser and device, under its own policy. We do not receive this data.
- Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 22(2) LSSI-CE), which you give by clicking the button.
- We do not store your choice. Each time you visit, the map appears as an image again; if you want Google’s map, you need to click again.
- You do not have to load it. The address is on the page, and the “Open in Google Maps” link takes you to our listing on Google Maps, outside this website.
- To withdraw your consent, leave or reload the page, and delete any Google cookies in your browser settings.
How Google handles this data: Google privacy policy and how Google uses cookies.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies or use similar tracking technologies. That is why you will not see a cookie notice when you arrive. The one exception is the Google Maps map on the contact page: if you load it, Google may set its own cookies (see “Google Maps”). If we ever use cookies, our own or from other services, we will tell you here and ask for your consent before using them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website, the way we process data or the law changes. The version in force is the one published here, with its last updated date.
